bottle, pours dark red/brown, thin tan head. Sour big red aroma with some spice and wood. Sweet malt background with a sour and oaky finish. Strange and interesting beer that is easy to drink and different.

Aroma is funky with citric notes. The flavour is fresh and medium sour with some oak and a nice complexity. Ends dry and fizzy. Quite good!

Flaske. Brugt til at rense munden med, hvilket den var fremragende til .Klassisk Rodenbach med masser af sure noter. Men ikke for meget. Lige som jeg kan lide den.

25 cl bottle, bought in Oostende - shared with Roger. Dark red/ruby color, moderate and disappering white head. Aroma is fine and mild sourness, spices, oak and dried fruit. Flavor is sweet, dried fruit, hints of hops, moderate sourness. Malty and a bit thin finish, with some sourness.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of sour fruits, caramel malts, and belgian style yeasts. Deep dark amber hue with a smaller sized off-white head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Flavor is sour fruits and yeasty malt. Palate is medium bodied and oily soft. Very good brew. Surprised it’s rated so low. Abv is also pretty low.

750ml bottle $7.49 at Beverage World in Ft. Oglethorp, GA. Bottom of the bottle is dated 28/11/07 so I hope it that was the bottled on date not the best by. Dark red bordering on brown with no head. Smells like sour, glue, vinegar, cherry cough syrup and a hint of wood. the flavor is nice with just a hint of sourness and a hint of lemon and glue ( I swear I didn’t eat glue as a kid!). A very approachable sour/wild, much more so than La Folie or even the duchesse which might scare off the newbie. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-15-2009 00:54:16
