Dark brown with orange highlights and a decent sized cream colored head. Aroma is of oak, raisin, cherry, and apricot. Flavor is tart with a malty sweet balance. Very fruity with cherry and grape flavors.

From a 750 ml bottle costing $7.99 at Bevmo this poured a very dark red that looked brown unless held up to the light. Good pink head with light lacing. Nose of ripe fruit. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor tends to the sour and you can taste the oak in the dry finish.

Bottle, 250ml. A red-brown colour with almost no head. Aroma has cherry and some vinous notes. Taste is much the same, but includes some interesting malt flavours. A little watery in the finish though, with a little sourness poking through. Moderate carbonation, only a little sweetness. An enjoyable brew.

Bottled. Reddish to murky brown beer. The thin head is white and dimishing. The aroma has sourish berries and fruits. Oaky tones are not dominating. The flavor is more sweetish than sour or tart. It is slightly acidic and not very dry (compared with the Grand cru). It still has the same oak-aged character of sour berries but it´s a bit sweet and and quite mellow. Easy to drink, light to medium bodied and a bit spritzy.

bottle at home ... brown ... tart malty raisin sourness ... mild sourness ... again raisins ... little balsamic vinegar ... this grows on me, but is definitly not as complex as many others though it grows on me and is very clensing
