Aroma has cherry and some vinous notes. Taste is much the same, but includes some interesting malt flavours. A little watery in the finish though, with a little sourness poking through. Moderate carbonation, only a little sweetness. An enjoyable brew. esox (273), Oulu, Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 16, 2009 Bottled. Reddish to murky brown beer. The thin head is white and dimishing. The aroma has sourish berries and fruits. Oaky tones are not dominating. The flavor is more sweetish than sour or tart. It is slightly acidic and not very dry (compared with the Grand cru). It still has the same oak-aged character of sour berries but it´s a bit sweet and and quite mellow. Easy to drink, light to medium bodied and a bit spritzy. cgarvieuk (4222), Edinburgh, Scotland
