06/06 0.25 l bottle @ Hopdevil, Zagreb. Poured clear, dark red body with tiny brown head. Viney aroma, apple vinegar, fine but simple. Flavor is quite similar, viney sour from which I could dissolve green apples and sour cherries. Medium bodied for the style. Finish is long, sour sweet, pleasant. Pretty fine beer, although nothing special.

Bottle poured into a sniffer produced a good finger worth of head that quickly changed to a ring of lace around the glass .The body was a brownish red color almost mahogany Aromas of funk, sour cherries and other fruits Flavors are very complex cherries sourness and light malts sweetness quite enjoyable on a hot day nice light mouthfeel with just the right amount of pucker to it I love to drink the sours on a hot day. It is very refreshing and I finished the bottle with no problem at all.

Pours a reddish brown. Head is crispy white, with brown hues. Aroma is rasberries and raisins. Taste is prunes, tart bitter cherries and berries, cutting lime citrus. Pretty good beer, great on a hot day. Sampled from a 750ml bottle. Didn’t detect the oak, but still pretty nice palate.

750 ml bottle - Pours a crystal clear deep ruby red color with small light tan head. Aroma is crisp, with light caramel, mildly tart, touch of cherry, strawberry, apple, hint of red wine vinegar. Flavor is tart, richly malty, definite cherry notes, touches of vinegar. Finish is tart, balanced. A classic brew, refreshing but complex.

On tap at beachwood BBQ. I had the grand cru before and so this beer is suffering a little from the younger brother syndrome. It is much less aggressive in both flavour and sourness than the grand cru, but still is delicious and refreshing. Just not as huge.

I love these Belgians with the barnyard/saddle flavors. This is very good. A sipper. Something very fun. Not fruity...think quality lambic without the heavy fruit. Just hints of cherry and honey. Decent body. Long finish. Great nose. On tap at Humpys

Bottle, 750 ml. Murky dark brown with a tan head that’s quickly gone. Tart and fruity. My first sour ale; this category will take some getting used to.

(0.25 l bottle on 2008-05-17) Reddish dark brown and cloudy. Tan medium sized dense head. Sour and fruity nose. Zesty palate. Fresh and sour taste. Some sweetness.
