Viney aroma, apple vinegar, fine but simple. Flavor is quite similar, viney sour from which I could dissolve green apples and sour cherries. Medium bodied for the style. Finish is long, sour sweet, pleasant. Pretty fine beer, although nothing special. Pastor (534), Maine, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Pours a reddish brown. Head is crispy white, with brown hues. Aroma is rasberries and raisins. Taste is prunes, tart bitter cherries and berries, cutting lime citrus. Pretty good beer, great on a hot day. Sampled from a 750ml bottle. Didn’t detect the oak, but still pretty nice palate. Finish is tart, balanced. A classic brew, refreshing but complex. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA

I had the grand cru before and so this beer is suffering a little from the younger brother syndrome. It is much less aggressive in both flavour and sourness than the grand cru, but still is delicious and refreshing. Just not as huge. AmazonMatt (285), Panama

Something very fun. Not fruity...think quality lambic without the heavy fruit. Just hints of cherry and honey. Decent body. Long finish. Great nose.
