Bottle at Deliruim Café, Göteborg, Sweden. Beautiful red/mahogny color, thin off-white head. Very sour, cider-like, with notes of yeast and wood. Smooth mouthfeel, and a assertive acidity in the aftertaste.

Pours a slightly hazed clear almond colour with a small, mostly diminishing off-white head. The nose is dominated by tart cherries, dilute acetic acid, some barnyard funk and some grain. Upon the first sip, you distincly get the impression that is blended, with old, musty, funky flavours and vibrant, fresh fruity flavours. The intial taste tart cherry with some malt sweetness and the finish is sour and drying. The palate duration is short, as it finishes clean, leaving minimal aftertaste, but a nice vinegar kick right before the end. Medium bodied, mild carbonation.

750ml BottlePours a hazy brown colour with a small off white head. Aroma is very tart, mostly cherry, white vinegar, and hints of metallic from the pour. Initial taste is a tart fruity cherry, unripe plum, mild sweetness. Finish is dry and not much to it, light tart cherry lingers. Medium Body. Slight Lacing of the glass and good head retention. Overall, very enjoyable and drinkable.

The aroma was vinous with a nice tart presence and a strong malt presence which was acidic and interesting. The beer poured crystal clear dark brown in the hi-ball glass. The head was barely there but did try to lace a little at the glass. The flavor was light with a brown ale characteristic of Oud Bruin which was fruity with a vinous aspect which was very lightly tart and refreshing with a grainy character. The body was medium or just below with a moderate level of carbonation and a smooth creamy texture on the palate. A really nice and easy to consume beer. 750 ml bottle, served in a crappy glass at Courtyard by Mariott. $7.71 at Green’s in Greenville, SC.

Bottle. Pours deep opaque red. Aroma is sour, lightly fruity, vinegary. Flavor is full of sour fruity tartness, with hints of sweetness. Finish is drying and tart, and fairly short. Palate is smooth and lightly fizzy. I wish I hadn’t had the Grand Cru first now, because it makes this one seem a little less potent. Still, fantastic and yummy, I think I’m a fan of the style. I’ll be getting more for sure.

drank at La Morte Subite on tap.... Good CO2 bite with a nice lactic/fruit aroma Dark ruby red color, subdued sourness, I guess I prefer the Grand Cru. The CO2 seems to increase the tartness sweet start with drying finish and seems to bring the aspect of dark cherries and vanilla to the front. Slight Ethylacetate that is not overbearing like " La Folie" in my opionion. Would go great with some flemish beef stew.

750 mL pour. Brown orange body with a fluffy white head. Aroma of sour cherry and some candied fruit. Tartness is not overbearing, and in my book that means it’s done well (since I’m not a huge fan of the extreme puckering sour brews). I was expecting a more challenging beer, but the fact that the tartness here did not take over the beer was a plus. Some of the fruitiness comes out more. A nice brew. I look forward to trying the Grand Cru sometime.
