I have to admit I was slightly disapoointed by this, I was expecting something bigger tasting. Still, it’s clearly a beer aimed at a wide audience and there’s no doubt it tastes excellent. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2007 This starts with an aroma of raspberries and oak. It pours a clear reddish color, with a thin off-white head. A nice tart flavor, with a hint of sweetness behind it, nice and refreshing in the summer heat. A great introduction to sours. gunnfryd (3599), Kristiansand, Norway

Shady dark copper color, small tan head. Spicy and fruity scent, but mainly acidic and lactose. Also malty and raissin. Very apparent lactic sourness, some malt. Rather weak body, medium high co2. Low bitterness, though some biting into the sides of the toungue. Red wine aftertaste. Not one of my favourite beer styles, though the beer itself is not really bad either. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Bottle in some small café in Brussels. Clear red-brown with a beige head. Nice fruity aroma with malt and slight acidity. Feels somewhat damp and cellary (probably the effect of the oak casks). Flavor has sweetness, nice acidity and cherries. Medium body. Nice stuff. mtoast (302), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 1, 2007 25cl bottle, BB 9/14/07. Huge overripe fruit and oak aroma. Crystal clear with quickly dying tannish foam. Flavor just seems to be lacking the complexity it once had, still ever so slightly tart, but very thin and damn near nothing left on the palate after it passes your lips. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
