This sour ale poured a dark brown color with a big light grayish tan head that slowly faded. The aroma was that of sour cherries. The flavor was sweet and sour dark fruit with some hints of oak. The mouthfeel was light-bodied with heavy carbonation. Almost champagne like. Very refreshing and drinkable. Floback (341), Naples, Florida, USA

Tastes of oak, mild Pinot Grigio. vinegar, and hints of Granny Smith apple. Doesn’t hit home like the Grand Cru does. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Pour is a dark red with a small tan head. Aroma is deffinatly vinegar with some cherry and wood smoke. Flavor is bitter with notes of cherry and oak. Almost like a merlot. A good example of the style for me as this is not so sour it is undrinkable. A good starter beer for this style. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Very deep, dark ruby color with almost no head. A little sourness in the aroma along with a very subdued oak profile. Huh... very light sourness in the taste. Decent malt base. A little cherry and sour fruit. Totally not what I expected. A lot less funk than I figured and hoped for. Not bad, but a bit of a letdown. Glazed9884 (207), USA
