There is a sharp vinegar aroma but subtle fruit lies underneath. The taste is acidic, then notes of strawberries and raspberries emerge. Watery mouthfeel. Padron4KM (405), Chandler, Arizona, USA

Best before Sept. 9 07
Reddish brown with no real head to speak of, just a thin cap of tight bubbles.
Aroma is Balsamic vinegar and oak and sour cherries.
Flavor is sweet and sour cherries with a touch of balsamic acidity on the finish.
Body is a touch thin, but it is still a good beer.

Reddish brown in color. Sweet flavors of cherry and slight maltiness blend well with a sour background. Medium to light bodied, with a dry finish. Sourness builds over time-- really nice. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Flavor is standard, sour with some balsamic vinegar and just a little fruit sweetness, raspberry maybe. Flavor is lightly sour, not as sour as the grand cru. Sadly the palate is very thin, this beer is just too light in body. Joewbrew knows the Duchesse de Bourgogne is better but he won’t admit it. I’m glad she won because The Four Winds had Rodenbach. This beer improved my thirst and my mood. I had another to sure. A mildly sour beer with a touch of cherry. It just isn’t what I am used to, but I really enjoyed it. A great thirst quenching quality in a sour beer - not expected. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Pours a dark reddish brown with a nice quickely diminishing light tan head. Nice dark earthy sour cherry nose. Good carbonation and a nice sour kick up front. Great earthy barnyard flavor as well as ripe and sour cherries. The palate is kinda fleeting and is probably my only knock on this beer. Very nice and I am so happy it is now back in MN. 505 (271), Echo Park, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Aroma is sour, not too much though. Pours a nice reddish with a small white head and nice lacing. Flavor is not overly sour, and finishes bitter. Lots of carbonation and a dry finish. Pretty good, not great, but a nice mellow version of the style.
