This beer is very yum-yum. It is unique. It is sour and tart and refreshing and crisp, not too thick or complicated, but one can tell that time was put into the brewing and it is quality. Yum!

750ml corked and caged bottle pours a clear garnet mahogany with a thin beige head that leaves sheet lacing. Aroma of mossy oak, cherry skins, and horse blanket. Light bodied in the mouth with a clean earthy feel. Taste is sour cherries, wet woody oak and wool sweater. A nice example of a splendid style.

Deep reddish colour with a beige head. Malty and light sweet aroma with tart fruity notes and hints of yeast. Malty, yeasty and tart fruity flavor with a light dry and tart finish.

12 Oz Bottle. Apparently a 1998. Thanks for sharing Dylan. Aroma is an intense, creamy tang of sweet fragrant framboisesque cherry reduction, light vanillas and tannic highers. Nectar. Rather still pour of a ruddied mahogany with a little perfusive haze. Ginger water filteres through a thinner feeling concotion of cherries and apple blossom sugar. Bites of honey and acid. Perfumes the nostrils with a hit of heat. Enjoyable, but not exemplary.

750mL bottle, no date. I can’t wax poetic, but we’ll see. Pours a clear brown ruby with a one finger beige head, eventually fading to a thin film. Aroma is sour with vinegar, some cherries, funk, light musty oak, and maybe some lighter nutmeg. Flavor is stronger with moderate sourness and some sweetness akin to a Duchess Bourgogne, though not quite that sweet. There is some light wood, sour cherries and a little mustiness. Moderate carbonation with a medium body. Pretty decent.

Red Wine Color with Sandy Head. Vinous Soured Fruit Aroma. Medium Mouthfeel. Like a Heavy Cabernet, Although with Mouth Coating Ale Qualities. Wonderfully Eloquent and Balanced Sour Ale. Awe Inspiring Complexity, Yet Wholly Simplistic...A Brew that Prompts you to Stop What Your Doing, and Really Pay Attention to What it’s Singing to Your Taste Buds...A Wonderful After Dinner Ponderance. A Liquid Moment of Peace.
