The vinegar flavor made me wonder about this beer until I had my first sip. It was good.It went well with my roasted turkey and wid rice I had for dinner. There was some woodiness in the background of the drink. I will continue my exploration of sours. markwise (1184), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2009 I liked the Grand Cru better. Pours cola brown with red highlights. Nose is balsalmic vinegar, cherries, musk, cloying sweetness, and tart acidity. Flavor is similar with cherries, vinegar, and a dark acidic bite. Sour cherry, balsalmic vinegar, and wine oak come through in this vinuous, medium-bodied sour. hirigalzkar (576), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Bottle. Very easy to drink and good introduction to the world of sour beers. It’s drinkable but it’s too sweet and lacks in complexity. A bit one dimensional. Could have used more funk. PolishHammer (64), , Connecticut, USA

Not a funky taste, as a lot of sours have. Also, enjoyed this more than the Grand Cru. Very easy to drink. Sour cherries and toffee flavor, with a hint of oak. Dark brown, reddish color, beige head. Medium levels of carbonation. My favorite sour to date. jrallen34 (123), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2009 25cl bottle bought in Belgium, pours a clear red-brown with a very thin lacy head, leaving a light sediment in the bottle. Smell is plums and wine-gums, with a sour woody note. On the tongue it is a bit musty, sweet and sour, plummy yet dry. The aftertaste is woody and dry but with fruit overtones. Strangely clean and refreshing. HonkeyBra (1338), Lemont, Illinois, USA

Fruity aroma of cherries and light vinaigrette. Flavor is fruity and lightly sour. Very tasty, actually. Basically the intro to sours here, but still a great beer. You could drink this all day easily.
