Not overly sour, which might be a plus or minus, depending on what you’re looking for. Generally well balanced against the tart of the cherries, with a slight bitterness at the finish to add a little to the complexity. Refreshing and easier to drink than many other sours (which again could be a pro or a con...) HogTownHarry (4026), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Bottle (750ml - corked & caged). Date on bottom of bottle "10/10/06" - best before? Deep hazy ruby, wispy head. Tart raspberry/cherry aroma, dry oak - mildly funky. Taste has more acidic fruitiness - a bit of wine vinegar, but it’s pretty mild, almost sweet. Sticky, somewhat lively body, quick finish to the malt, a dry, lightly vinegary aftertaste --- simple, very drinkable for a sour (it’s not that sour!). Blaze312 (132), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

Aroma of fruits. Taste is very fruity, raspberry, cherries, and apple. Overall not a bad beer. Ceebs25 (242), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Poured from an 11.2 oz bottle at Lorien in
Palma. Very acedic aroma, almost like a fruit balsalmic vinegar, with fruit notes of raspberry and apple tart, definitely enjoyable. Very minor head on the pour, medium thick appearance in the body, and ruby red grapefruit in color. Good tart flavors, mild sourness, but light a light overall beer that translated into the flavors not packing to big of a punch either, though isn’t necessarily a good or bad thing with this beer. Notes consist of mixed red berries, fruit cake, fig, with zero linger as the taste dries up immediately. I felt this was an enjoyable, interesting affair overall. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Updated: Mar 21, 2009Pours a chocolate amber with a small tan head. Aroma strong of tart fruits, mostly cherries. Taste is as tart as the aroma with hints of caramel and that oak zing. Felt like I was drinking a fruit cider, which was a bit disappointing, because I wanted a sour ale. A nice go-to ale when that is what I am looking for though. I will have to try this again to make sure this is what it is supposed to taste like. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA

Aromas of sour cherries, vinegar, and some more fruit. Flavor is slightly bland with cherries and oak. Seems a bit watery. I would like to try a fresh one to compare and re-rate. A thin dense sand-colored head over a clear, reddish amber body. Acidulous fruity aroma, quite vinous actually. Taste is light sour, light sweet with a distinct tangy fruitiness. Surprisingly light-bodied. Very refreshing though. Bontus (310), Waasmunster, Belgium
