Very pleasant aroma has some liquorice and nice hops. The hops are in balance in the flavor -is emphasized in a nice bite at the end-. There’s also liquorice and nuts. Nice beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Beer pours dark amber color, decent head and lace. It’s hard to get too excited about an amber ale, but this one was nice. Crisp, clean taste...caramel malts not overly sweet with nice floral hop finish. I was digging it, about as much as you can dig an amber.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Aroma a bit sour without a good hoppy presence like I was expecting. Very grassy and floral flavor, reminds me of eating an orchid while breathing from a plate of asparagus. Dry with a bitter finish. Pretty enjoyable.
