Nose is hoppy with hints of soy sauce in it. Flavor is refreshingly hoppy, with a bit of roasted malts touches to it. Very bitter aftertaste. Solid brew. shawnm213 (990), South Bend, Indiana, USA

Hazy dark amber colour with little head.
Aroma is caramel, hops and butter. Flavour is not as delicious. There’s grapefruit, bitterness and malts. Really expensive beer, so I guess I won’t buy it very often. italianjohn (388), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours dark amber.
Smells of butter. Not realy complex, but there is a contrast between the aroma, taste and finish. It tastes a bit like a barley wine light. hirigalzkar (593), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Bottle. Look: Dark orange. Smell: Hops and butter (reminds me of a american barley wine). Taste: Tart bitterness of the forest. Licorice in aftertaste. Overall: Nothing special, but i really like the special kind of bitterness this beer has.
