Bottle. Amber colour with a medium-sized off-white head. The aroma is very hoppy and sweet malty. Malty flavour with some toffee, sweetness, hops and citrus. Smooth mouthfeel, medium-bodied and very drinkable.

Pours a hazy amber brown with a small tan head that left bit of lacing and faded slowly. The aroma is big on sweet malts with some toffee as well. Citrus hops are present up front as well. The taste has an even bigger hop presence up front with some citrus and floral hops before the hefty caramel sweetness balances things out in the middle. There is a slight hop bitterness in the finish alongside a lingering sweetness. The mouthfeel is silky smooth with strong carbonation. This is a very good amber ale and extremely drinkable. One of the better ambers I’ve had.

Bottle. Pours an amber, hazy color with an average, white head. Lacing is average as well. Aromas of roasted malts, caramel, and a bit of toffee. Initial taste is like a caramel candy bar, very smooth mouthfeel with a slick finish. I didn’t notice hops in the flavor. An interesting beer but probably one I will not be having again.

355 ml bottle. Slightly hazy orange-brown colour, thin but creamy off-white head. Caramel-malty aroma with fermented fruits and floral hops. The flavour is caramel-malty, with oranges and other citrus fruits and a very nice hoppy finish. Medium-bodied, smooth and creamy.

Pours a nice brownish amber with a 2 finger creamy tan head that has good retention. Aroma is caramel, citrus, toast and a little straw. Flavor is caramel up frontsome straw and grass, bitter hops, with some sort of fishy and metallic notes starting in the middle, with a bitter hop finish. Kinda weird, not terrible but it gets pretty bad in the middle.

Dark brown coloured body with a super-thin off-white head. Aroma of somewhat fresh hops, cardboard, malt and little else. Medium-bodied; Sharp taste with caramel and cardboard - nothing else nice at all. Aftertaste bittering and very harsh - alcohol, malt and funk all prominent. Overall, pretty damn bad - as expected! Rogue does another horrible alias job...please just try a different beer altogether instead of trying to trick beer drinkers into buying more of your inferior products. Not worth trying at all - but I would say that about 95% of Rogue’s products, so its pretty easy in my book. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 21-June-2005 at Jon(R888710)’s. Sampled as Red Fox label, just another one of Rogue’s stupid relabling issues and a method for them to try to milk more money out of decent beer drinkers.

Starts well, cloudy with hints of toffee, finishes unbalanced, leaves me feeling unsure with every taste.

Bottle from Pristine Liquors in Spring Hill, FL. Aroma is alcohol, malt, caramel, toffee. Pours cloudy Cap. Morgan look. Plenty of lacing. Taste is a bit of everything. A bit malty, a bit spicy, a bit bitter, a bit malty...nice...but theres a little of everything so nothing jumps out. Easy on the palate...leaves a silky feel. Overall...its very different...its like 6 styles rolled into one...Not great...but its solid...leaves me thinking..."Huh?"...Every sip tastes like a different style.
