Pours an off white head, with nice lacing, over a clear copper (SRM 15) body.....nose is cereal, toffee, bit of floral hop....taste initially light malts then slight toffee sweetness, lastly, large, lingering grapefruit hop bitterness.....mouth feel is medium, carbonation slightly higher than average. No question this is an "American" style of Amber. In many ways it is almost an APA as the malt back bone is so dominated by the hops. JaBier (1223), Capital City, Ohio, USA

Smells more like a well-made APA with Cascade hops and caramel malt. Bitter and grassy hop flavor up front with a bit of caramel malt before a bitter finish. jimhilt (1683), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2009 22. Pours a hazy burnished dark amber with a thick, sudsy, creamy tan head. Leaves plenty of lace on the way down. Big malty nose with plenty of dry leaves, some caramel, and earth. Creamy medium body with firm carb showing. Dry leaves, toast, caramel, and bready malts on the mid-palate. Mild earthy finish. Not too bad.
