12 oz. bottle. Pours an off white head, with nice lacing, over a clear copper (SRM 15) body.....nose is cereal, toffee, bit of floral hop....taste initially light malts then slight toffee sweetness, lastly, large, lingering grapefruit hop bitterness.....mouth feel is medium, carbonation slightly higher than average. No question this is an "American" style of Amber. In many ways it is almost an APA as the malt back bone is so dominated by the hops.

22oz bottle as Sea Otter Amber Ale. Pours opaque copper with a huge off-white head. Smells more like a well-made APA with Cascade hops and caramel malt. Bitter and grassy hop flavor up front with a bit of caramel malt before a bitter finish.

Label is Red Fox Amber Ale and it is brewed by Oregon Brewing Co. Pours a three finger cream head that fades to a chunky thin layer leaving some lace. Nearly clear amber color. Slight hoppy nose. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is more citric hop with the malts in the background. $2.49 for a 12oz bottle from Barb’s Beer Emporium Concord, NH.

Decent chewy malty beer. Great if you are prepared to drink gallons. But I’d rather have something impressive. Sampled at the 2nd Annual Treasure Coast Beerfest in Ft. Pierce.

nice sweet malty aroma, reddish amber colour and fluffy tan head. Nice sweetness upfront from the malt goes in to a great dry bittering finish.

22. Pours a hazy burnished dark amber with a thick, sudsy, creamy tan head. Leaves plenty of lace on the way down. Big malty nose with plenty of dry leaves, some caramel, and earth. Creamy medium body with firm carb showing. Dry leaves, toast, caramel, and bready malts on the mid-palate. Mild earthy finish. Not too bad.
