The beer is a cloudy, rich amber color with a creamy, light tan head that had modest size and retention. The aroma is malt-heavy, featuring caramel, coffee, toffee and some fruit tones, and also some spicy hops. It has a very nice, lightly spicy and hoppy flavor with some sweet fruitiness in the mix. The beer is pretty dry on the palate, slightly on the thin side, and not too watery, although the carbonation is fairly high. It is a quality ale, but might be slightly overpriced at $5 for the bottle. SuperDave70 (1158), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

Aroma of nutty caramel malt, sweet light fruit and a touch of spicy hops. Very similar flavor, with some nice bitter grapefruit hoppiness on the finish. Overall, very nice. OleR (2106), Oslo, Norway
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Bottle @ Beer Palace, Oslo. Thin bubbely offwhite head. Hazy, amber colored body. Aroma is a nice blend of delicate sweet, buttery malts, toffee/cream-caramel, and a medium to strong scent of fruity hops. Taste has a bready and caramellish malt-character, is sweet and hoppy with a note of roast. Quite filling. Fine bitterness and malts in the finish. Another well-crafted ale from Rogue. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Aroma is full of well balanced hops. It’s appearance is a nice orange-copper color, with an adequate head. It’s very tasty with more hops than malts, but a good balance nonetheless. It’s a good session, flavorful, and hopped, but not overpowering.
