There is plenty of carbonation and a biting citrus sensation over a solid caramel malt base. It’s a good quaffing beer, but perhaps not one of the most notable Rogue brews. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 29, 2008 This very tasty, mildly hopped brew pours a thick cloudy amber body with a creamy white top, thin but very noticeable. It leaves behind a sticky coat of lacing. Aroma is of hops, grapefruit and green lemons. Mouthfeel is full, well carbonated, and taste is excellent. Great citrusy character, lots of hops but very well balanced. Nice work you Rogues! vikingbeercbus (34), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 28, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours brown-red with gold tones, one inch head light brown with good lacing. Bitter on the finish. Amber that would be a good crowd pleaser for backyard grill outs. fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, light background fruitiness, mellow but crisp (however an aroma can be crisp) floral hops. Flavor more of the same, very tasty all around. Got a bit boring by glass’s end, but a well-balanced, all-around solid brew. LilBeerDoctor (1528), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a thick light tan head. Aroma of flowery hops and sweet malt. Flavor is nice and sweet, some wheat cracker, balanced nicely with flowery hops. My favorite amber ales are the ones that have a strong malt base and a slight presence of light hops and this one is just that. Superbly balanced. Very carbonated, tickles the mouth. Crisp and clean tasting with a smooth finish. imjohnward (4), , Colorado, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2008 I have a hard time enjoying a whole glass of amber at times. Keep in mind it is my favorite amber out there, well balanced sja14 (106), Ohio, USA
