Very fragrent with hops, caramel, floral with some fruity tones and butterscotch. Taste doesn’t quite live up to the excellent aroma with a lot of bitter. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Amber color with clouds. Big head. Caramel and inviting aroma, but to me it just tasted skunky. Perhaps it was the six pack I picked up, as after reading the rest of these reviews it appears that it’s a great beer... I just didn’t get that. tarjei (1762), Bryne, Norway

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear amber-brown with a big, fluffy beige/light brown head. Great lacing. Aroma is a nice blend of hops and malt with some overtones of nuts. The malt part is slightly cloying though, but not too much. Flavour is sweet and malty, with some hops in the background which kick in in the finish and turns to bitter licorice. Lingering apple notes as it warms. 12-04-08. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 7, 2008 American hop aroma, light C-hop profile. Okay amber hue, quick disappearing toasted head with haze appearance. Nice middle of the road flavor profile. Moderate malt profile featuring light caramel and toasted notes. Decent mouthfeel, balanced. Overall enjoyable, drinkable, well bittered, apparent hop flavor but not dominant. A good beer, just not fantastic or great. Far from Rogue’s best, but you could do alot worse than this drinkable bier. changeup45 (807), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 7, 2008 A pretty good, very drinkable beer. Pours an amber color (surprised?) medium foamy, tanish head. A little lace. Mild hop, malt balanced aroma with some spice. Slight roasted flavor with malt, caramel, some hops and a bitter finish. There really is a lot going on with this beer, which is half the fun of drinking it. The other is the fact that I’m drinking alcohol. BeerFanDan17 (628), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

As I recall, I bought a case of this for July 4th of 2006. Nice American style ale with a brown color and thick creamy head. Flavors were somewhat malty, but complex. Gusgus (176), Mölndal, Sweden

Aroma is a beautiful blend of apricots, lemon, mango, plums, vanilla, caramell and butter-scotch. Medium body that is really clean and crisp. Caramelly without being cloying. Slightly roasted finish that lingers on with a balanced bitterness.
