Bottle from bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 23-09-09 Pours dark amber with off-white head. Aroma is malty, touch of toffee. Taste is gloriously toffee, but with a lovely underblanket of citrus, nicely bitter, hits the spot, bloody good stuff and amongst the 3 for £4 selection I should have got some more. On tap at Newport pub location. Pours a red brown with barely any head. Aromas of biscuit, cream, and vanilla. Taste begins sharp, with piney and floral tastes that move it to bitter, and ends with a smooth vanilla taste--definitely different for an amber!

On tap in the Mews Tavern RI. Dark red amber pour with a half inch foam head, decent layered lacing. Slight roast and hop malt texture throughout. Enjoyed the blend, seemed complex and stronger than the ABV presents. Great drinker.

Deep amber pour with a big tan head which left tons of lacing. Smell is enticing; barley, citrus, good rich notes. Goodly amounts of carbonation and carmel meatiness give way to a crisp hop freshness. A pleasantly complex, medium bodied beer.

Sweet, balanced, nutty, somewhat dry bitter finish. A very pleasant and drinkable beer, just not one I think I would continue to go back to.
