Nice dark amber color with a set white head. Caramel toffee notes in aroma and taste. Nice bitter finish that rounds it out.

Pours the color of liquid caramel apple. Has a weird spider like semi green tan head. Smells of yeast and bread. Tastes like a bit of hops, lots of malt, and some yeast. Very average and easy to drink.

Bottle. Very nice, slightly hazy, reddish-brown appearance. Moderate head and good hop aroma for an Amber. Good nutty, roasted malt flavor and smooth finnish.

I have no idea if its something in the water, but every single one of Rogue’s beers are just excellent. Well balanced - even better on tap. Hops are present, but not overpowering. It’s a deep red ale - similar to Anderson Valley’s. Malt is not overpowering - nor is it too sweet. A perfect red ale perhaps.

Rogue’s American Ambers pours a beautiful deep dusk red. The ale has an interesting sweet barley malt taste with just the “kick” of hoppiness to balance it out. Without the hops, the beer might be Scotch ale or a bitter; with too much it could kill the malt. Tastes like Dead Guy Ale on life support….a fine brew.

Picturesque amber color, dark and clear. Frothy head, a bit of tan in the head. soft whisper of hop aroma behind the carmel and brown sugar malt side. a bit thin in body for my liking, but there’s ample flavor and character and it does provide for a very clean refreshing feel. the caramel and nutty edge to the malt blend is only an edge as the dried crunchy hops prevail and provide a long relaxed finish.
