Pours a nice reddish-amber color with a huge tight light tan head. Nice toast flavor, with hints of coffee, and a lingering bitterness on the tongue. A nice drinking session ale, not something I’ll go out of my way for, but not something I’ll turn down. dmac (1489), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Poured a great looking deep mahogany color with a nice frothy light tan head. Aroma was mostly caramel malt with a slight touch of hops. Flavor had an incredibally strong bitter finish that I did not care for, nor did anyone else that tried this beer. I love ambers and this one didn’t do it for me. Once again Rogue drops the ball. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 2, 2007 A decent fruity and hoppy aroma. Nothing that knocks my tastebuds out, but still a decent aroma. The look is great a nice caramel color. A very crisp Amber Ale, with a hop flavor but there is not that hop kick that I get from I.P.A. I also taste peaches, a nice fruity, and decently hoppy ale. There is nothing special about this beer. A very crisp and semi-smooth beer. I mean it is not too thin and not too thick. A decent ale. The hops could be a bit more noticeable. 1FastSTi (2575), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2007 Red Fox Amber Ale bottle. The beer pours to a deep ruby/garnet body with a rocky white head and nice lacing. The aroma is fully of fresh grapefruit and some interesting grain profile. The flavor is full of toasty German malts and nice sweet fruity hops. Dry weedy hops kick in on the finish. A weird dry mineral/airy water thing kicks in on the mouthfeel as one lets it sit in his mouth. Bitter up front and has a nice texture. But, that changes as the beer seems to vanish in the mouth. Strong carbonation. FROTHINGSLOSH (2030), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma was nutty malts with light caramel and fruity hops. The flavor was caramel, nut and bitter floral hops. The finish was long and bitter. alexsdad06 (1093), Ohio, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2007 Clear reddish amber pour under a small stone white head with average lacing. Aroma of fresh biscuits with a little citrus. Solidly malty flavor surrounded by toffee, vanilla, grapefruit and molasses. Healthy dose of hops keeps this brew on the rails. Clean, creamy mouthfeel and a mildly bitter and very crisp finish. I’m not a huge amber ale fan but this is a quality and versatile beer.
