Aroma of fresh biscuits with a little citrus. Solidly malty flavor surrounded by toffee, vanilla, grapefruit and molasses. Healthy dose of hops keeps this brew on the rails. Clean, creamy mouthfeel and a mildly bitter and very crisp finish. I’m not a huge amber ale fan but this is a quality and versatile beer. puggy211 (596), cordova, Tennessee, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2007 A smattering of slight smells make up the aroma. The list would include grapefruit, caramel, brown sugar and some hops. The beer pours a rocky off-white head and a hazy red/brown body. Its slightly watery with soft carbonation with a short and slightly acidic finish. Have this one sit out of the fridge 20 minutes or so before serving. wbcury89 (2), Ramsey, New Jersey, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Nice pleasent aroma. The 22 oz. bottle pours well. Strong flavor which I like. Mouth feel is pleasent. It pairs nicely with a steak on the grill in the summer. Optigon (562), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
