| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Poured from a 25 ounce bottle into a pint glass, light hazy rust color with a medium tan head. Aroma was hoppy and sweet with notes of citrus fruit, of which oranges stood out. The taste was sweet and dominated by hops with a slightly bitter finish. The malt flavor seemed to kick in after a few sips. A decent effort although perhaps not suited specifically to my taste. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2007 The color is a nice foggy, amber/orange. The head is creamy, foamy, and light beige. The aroma was spicy, hoppy, and ale. The flavor was bitter, some spice, and waxy. The palate was medium-bodied. The finish was clean. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Pours a copper amber brew with chill haze. A medium, tan, quasi-creamy head. The aroma is sweet, fruity/citrusy hops, impressive aroma. The flavor has about the same depth. Slightly more bittering/dry hops. Definitely more character than this style usually allows. The palate is a little dry and harsh. The finish is dry and waxy too. SuzyGreenberg (1410), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 25, 2007 22 oz. bottle - perhaps the most boring of rogue beers tried to date...should be expected with a name like american amber i guess...drinks smooth and pours cloudy, but aroma and taste are very disappointing by rogue standards doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 24, 2007 Dark red beer. "smooth, soft, mellow, & and sexy", according to my Uncle Brian, but you would have to meet him to know why. Reminded us a bit of the Sprecher. Hoppy aroma, farily smooth front and middle, with a medium hop finish. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 18, 2007 Pint glass from a bottle. A surprisingly flavorful and complex ale. Good blend of malts, hops, and grains, heavier on malts but not overpowering. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a nice amber color with a small off-white head. Nice amber with a good mouthfeel. Maltiness is the obvious theme of the beer, but it’s also well balanced, and ends on a crisp note. A good amber ale. Maria (6309), Thisted, Denmark
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 6, 2007 This beer has a very, very beautiful dark amber color with a nice red hue and a large, golden head. The aroma hops and caramel gush from the glass and starts the pump in my mouth, so that it has to send out flood warnings... I greedily attacks the glass and my lust is met by a mouthfeel, that is smooth and full. The flavour is wonderfully smooth and has a lot of nicely balanced roasted malts and aroma hops, that gives notes of caramel and a bit of fruit. The bitterness is delicate and has notes of citrus. A VERY nice beer indeed!
