The aroma hops and caramel gush from the glass and starts the pump in my mouth, so that it has to send out flood warnings... I greedily attacks the glass and my lust is met by a mouthfeel, that is smooth and full. The flavour is wonderfully smooth and has a lot of nicely balanced roasted malts and aroma hops, that gives notes of caramel and a bit of fruit. The bitterness is delicate and has notes of citrus. A VERY nice beer indeed! anaheim1983 (111), Anaheim, California, USA

Aroma very sweet with fruity sourness - earthy coffee, if you imagine hard. Real kicker of a flavour here - amber malting below some really punchy hops. Sharp, biting hops with a warm pleasant bitter finish. Delicate crystal malt bed carries right through, smooth mouthfeel with thin aftertaste. Truly an excellent brew - would go really well with a steak. Zimmo (57), Siloam Springs, Arkansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2007 11 oz bottle. Pours a nice copper color with thin, short-lived tan head head. Light hoppy aroma, but a better, stronger hop flavor. This is not a stong ale, but if you like them in this intensity range, this is a pretty good one. Strykzone (1499), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2007 What a nice looking beer! It is a dark brown with a nice thick medium sized head. The head has little retention but leaves a small ring around the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with a hint of tartness. Dark fruit is evident. Flavor is delicious and complex. Like the aroma, sweet malt and some slight tartness can be found. The beer is very well balanced. The hops come out more late but this is a beer that is more malt than hops. It feels pleasantly creamy in the mouth. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

Decent citrus and piney hop aroma with a sweet malt base. Big hoppy flavor with a nutty malt base underneath. Long piney bitter finish. smellyshoes (11), USA
