ThaBobfather (130), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 20, 2008 Very quality amber ale. It’s taste is interesting, and complex. It starts with some citrus and malt then finishing with bitter. It’s not a bad bitter, just out of place.
jerohen (1481), Bussum, Netherlands Oct 12, 2008 Bottled from Jusco supermarket, Shenzhen, China. Hazy amber brown coloured, brown head. Very nice hoppy nose. Pretty plain flavour, just some bitterness. Nice aroma, but the flavour can not live up to it. dm9831 (620), Monee, Illinois, USA Oct 11, 2008 hazy amber color, fluffy off-white head, slight lacing. sweet malt and grain in the nose. the sweetness of the aroma is repeated in the flavor. at least the sweetness is not cloying. medium bodied, oily mouthfeel. fizzy. a bit too sweet for my taste. not bad, just not in my wheel-house. mbgrayson (53), Anaconda, Montana, USA Oct 5, 2008 Hmmm. Not quite sure what to make of this one. A little more of a bitter finish than I like...very malty. Not quite as smooth as I like an amber ale. mirjukka (436), LOHJA, Finland Oct 5, 2008 bottle 355ml from Alko Arkadia shared with FatPhil&Anna color:amber Taste: grapefruity pine sweet extra sticky mouthfeel. Should I learn to like this or not bit confusing FatPhil (2365), Espoo, Finland Oct 5, 2008 355 ml bottle (Alko) - shared by Mirjukka - thanks!
Deep orange, small head. Sickly sweet aroma, some aromatic fruity hops too. Super-sweet caramel and piney taste. Touch of coffee cake made with treacle. Decent flowery and fruity hops. Quite a hoppy finish, pretty perfumey, but also very sticky sweet. So caramelly sweet. Yikes. Quite how you Americans drink this stuff without getting spontaneous diabetes, I’ll never work out!
