15ht anniversary bomber from December 2003 thanks to Eric. Pours a dark brown color with a small brown head. The aroma was awesome; heavy citrus hops, sweeter malt notes, like a great barely wine. The flavor is quite hoppy, especially since it is 6 years old. Mellow caramel malts and light fruits. Nice.

Comes out of the tap a dark coffee-brown with a fairly thick, fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy and has a malty undertone, as well as a hint of molasses. Flavor is mainly hoppy and has touches of malt and caramel, as well as a whisper of sweetness. Smooth texture has a jazzy, fizzy edge.

Color is a rich chocolaty brown with a thick and persistent head. The very hoppy aroma has smoky hints and a touch of coffee. Flavor is strongly hoppy and rather evergreen-ish, rather like drinking a pine tree; it is rich and satisfying, nice and bitter, with a trace of smokiness and a hint of burnt coffee. Strongly recommended to anybody who enjoys both hoppy beers and stouts/porters.

Beautiful ceramic bottle that probably raised the price at least 10 dollars. Dark brown pour with a solid tan head. Nice aroma balanced between a citrus/pine hop smell and a caramel malt aroma. Flavor is a bit of the same, with a nice hop finish. Solid beer, wish it had cost half as much.

Draft at NYC Gingerman. Roasty, tart malts. Nice bittering. Very smooth with nice lighter body. almost nitro-like creaminess. Caramel, toasted marshmallow on top of intense, wonderful bitter. Lovely to try again

Gorgeous head with strong flowery smell. Flavor is not as rewarding, nearly the same as the Sierra Nevada stout, or a good IPA- flavor is just hops. Other flavors are tricks caused by it’s dark brown color. I expected more complexity. I might like it more if I was a hop-head.

Bottle. Pours brown with a light tan head that leaves lacing as its consumed. Aroma is hoppy with pine, citrus, caramel malts and some nuttiness. Flavor is quite hoppy with piny resin, grapefruit, caramel and a hint of nuts with a creamy mouthfeel and a bitter hoppy finish.

On tap at 1702 during Rogue night - Pours a brown color with a small off white head. Faint lacing. Aroma is pleasant floral hops. Flavor is also hops with a bit of malt hiding in there. Has a astringent aftertaste. Medium body. This is one hoppy and bitter beer.

01.11.2008, On tap at the Rogue Ale house in San Francisco. The colour is dark brown. Pale brown head. The beer smells alittle like tequila!. There is also bitternes, juniperus and alcohol. Very nice complex ale.
