Aroma is citrus, syrupy malt, and some odd hops also. Flavor is the same, some strange hops, resiny, syrupy sweet malt, and citrus in the finish. Decent beer. willblake (2187), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Familiar Rogue aroma plus strangely appealing pissy smells plus armpit. Nice and dry despite hefty, medium-full body. Hard to figure what style they were after but would have guessed an ESB. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2008 On tap at ashleys in ann arbor. Poured an opaque black color. Smell was strong bitey hops and distant roast. Taste was quite creamy, not as full as I was expecting, very well rounded and quaffable. Touch of fruit and a touch of caramel in there as well. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a copper-ruby body (surprisingly a significant amount of sediment) with a large frothy/creamy mocha head. The aroma has many nice qualities and has some stout characteristics - cocoa, sweet toffee, and a good dose of hops. Flavour is quite hoppy/resiny with some burnt sweet caramel and toffeeish notes. Some alcohol noted in the seemingly creamy body.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Super tasty, super unique...as usual the Rogue standard PacMan yeast stands out. The hops are a nice touch to a real nice caramel malt backbone that hints at a mix of a Belgian dubbel and a English bitter, with a great Oregon touch! A real gem!! xmarcnolanx (800), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Damn this is a tasty brew. Had it on tap in Little Rock at the Flying Saucer.
Juicy hops dominate the aroma, with a sweet caramel backbone that also has a touch of fruitness. Hard to decipher sometimes if the hops or the yeast really get bring the fruit across sometimes, but pretty sure it is the hops.
Finishes with a lingering bitterness that just sticks there for a good long while.
Very good. omhper (12261), Stockholm, Sweden

Aroma of grapefruits that grdually turns into a flavour of coffee and molasses. Fruity and quite sweet. Masively hoppy with near full body. Soft if a bit mushy mouthfeel. Long very bitter finish. kkearn (1011), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Draft, at Theresa’s next door (Wayne, PA). Poured deep brown with ruby highlights, capped with a thick tan head. Intense, piney hop aroma, with a little yeast in the background. Flavor is basically all earthy hops, but a little caramel malt breaks through towards the finish to add balance. Hops coat the mouth for a while, providing a long, bitter finish.
