Aromas of floral hops. The bitter hops are strong but not overpowering, and it makes for a really good beer. harbuck76 (128), El Cajon, California, USA

Pours a nice amber with average white head. aroma is carmel malts with some floral notes. Its been a few years since i had this one, and i almost forgot how good it was. Nothing brutal about it . finishes dry and bitter with a perfect sweet malt backbone. This would be a perfect session beer except for the price. snuffla (96), Chch, New Zealand
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 12, 2009 Loads of toffee sweetness on the nose with a floral edge from the hops. Not as much as aroma from the hops as i expect but a very pleasant aroma all the same.
In the mouth it starts sweet, with almost honey richness from the malt then explodes with a bitter grenade into an awesome long bitter finish with floral notes. All up another very good beer from Rogue fonefan (11003), VestJylland, Denmark

Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, citrus - orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090111] EnSiFeRuM (501), Quebec, Canada

Excellent ! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Caramel malts, some light nuttiness, and then its all sorts of hoppy bad-ass-ness. Grapefruit highlights strong tanic tea notes, bitter hop resins, and a nice kick to the face. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber/golden with an off-white/yellowish head. Dry, pine hop aroma. Not too powerful. Slightly tart. Flavour is sweetish with bitter pine hops on a malty background. Sweetish finish with lingering bitter liquorice hops. Grassy notes and a slightly watery and metallic touch. Dry. A bit too much carbonation. Overall nice, but a bit too sweet. 07-05-09. TheGrandMaster (1855), Auckland, New Zealand
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2009 Botte (in NZ). Pours a hazy orange with a large foamy head. Big biscuity malt aroma, with fruity hops reminiscent of fruit salad. Dry and bitter palate, with a strong malty flavour - not so sugary - but definitely caramal. A bit of sweetness in the finish, but the hoppy bitterness takes care of that.
