Aroma of grapefruit, buttery toffee, malts and pepper. Flavour is toffee, malts and a bit of nuts first, some spicy hops, then a nice grapefruit bitter finish. Medium bodied and a bit creamy mouthfeel. Instead of Brutal very smooth and easy drinking. I like that! Cole (281), , Alberta, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 26, 2009 from 650ml bottle. Hazy orange colour with thivk white head. Very floral aroma. Flavor is very complex, a hint of orange. BUt for the most part this beer has lots of hops happening. It is well balanced the hop blend works really well. I think that calling it a "brutal" bitter is a bit of a stretch. I’ve had more bitter. toddkrem (78), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Burnt orange body under creamy tan head. Light malt nose, some floral elements. Taste of soft roasted grains, walnuts, and a hoppy bite to the finish. Bitter indeed, but by the name I was expecting something scary. This is bitter, but soft and beautiful. Very gentle on the palate, long finish, medium feel. Nice brew. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 The guy on the bottle has been staring at me over top of his sunglasses for a long time, so I have to try this one. Pours a murky yellow-ish orange with a bright white head that clings to my glass. Aroma is intense, slightly sweet, tuns of citrus (mainly orange and a lot of grapefruit), floral notes, and caramel. Flavor of grapefruit and orange, some sweetness that may be caramel, peach, floral esters on the palate as well. Mouthfeel is good, proper carbonation and not cloying. I had my doubts, but I really like this beer! TaktikMTL (2758), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
