goozen (1061), Leiden, Netherlands Oct 15, 2008 Bottle: Just what the name says Bitter, and this one is bitter, American bitter. Amber looking brew with hints of orange, grapefruit and other bitter things. mybrainhurts (213), North Dakota, USA Oct 13, 2008 Holy Hopzilla! Fruity and floral hop aroma. Fresh hops dominate this tasty brew. Tangy, citrus flavor. Some malts in there somewhere. Finishes juicy with a lingering bitter hoppiness. A beer made to showcase the beauty of the hops! I like it. Trooper11 (464), Suffolk, Virginia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Cloudy amber orange brew, foamy white head with an orangish tint. Soft citrus floral aroma, like orange juice. Solid bitter citrus flavor, like eating a fresh orange, peel and all. very satisfying. Very bitter. Nice! Like Ronald McDonald..."I’m Lovin’ It!" Great orange zest aftertaste lingers. PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Sep 29, 2008 Updated: May 9, 2009Bottle. This is a golden orange colour with a thick, spongy, two inch off white head. There’s plenty of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is great with a ton of citrus up front, tropical fruits, especially pineapple, fresh mango, orange, some lemon, also some fresh avocado. The mouthfeel is medium in body, fairly oily; it clings a bit to the tongue. I taste plenty of fresh fruity hops, subtly bitter with lots of mango, some more of that avocado, lemon then some pineapple. The malt background is mostly bready with some mild toffee. The overall hop impression is dominated by fresh fruit; very nice. DWestrick (235), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 28, 2008 bottle - an excellent beer - much like an IPA, suprized it was only 6% - finishes great will have again illkarate (89), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Sep 28, 2008 22oz bottle, pours a hazy amber-orange, perfect head... settles quickly. Extremely well-balanced brew, nice floral bitterness (but not overwhelming), pomelo, hints of honey, malt, good carbonation. Probably one of Rogue’s best offerings. CheersBabe (62), USA Sep 27, 2008 Pours like cider with a light-tan head. Smells flowery/hoppy, like a heavy IPA. Tastes of citrus with the bitter hops. Not a bad beer. bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2008 It pours a light yellow/orange color with a cloudiness to it. Nice off white head. The smell is very fruity/floral hops. The taste is very bitter, but not overwhelming, it’s more of a fruity/floral type of bitter. You can taste some of the alcohol and it has a nice bitter finish. Very impressive yet again from [in my opinion] one of if not the best brewery around.
