| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2008 650 Ml Bottle. Pours quite hazy with a really light marshmallow head. A medium to light body with supporting bitterness. As the pint warms up i get a bit of sweetness coming through but then it snaps of sharp and clean. I didn’t realise this was a 6.2% beer as the bottle didnt have any markings it felt so light bodied i thought it was more like a 3.5% beer, I have no idea why they use the name "Brutal?" still a great beer i really enjoyed. gam (1081), brisbane, Australia

Cloudy amber, strong hoppy aroma.
Well balanced - full malty body, flowery and crisp hops. Dry summer meadow finish. Brutal? Hardly, but a fine beer. Rynoplasty (507), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Taste is malty, and has a nice citrusy flavor and finish. Not too brutal, I would say that would be a better name for some IPA’s but still a good hoppy ESB. grandet (478), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA
