Bragesnak (2223), Aarhus, Denmark Sep 22, 2009 From Havnens Vin, Vejle, DK.
Bottled, 200909.
Orange with white head. Aroma of citrus, spruce and malt. Flavor is grapefruit, malt and spices. Wombata (74), Kobe, Japan Sep 20, 2009 On tap at Portland Intl airport.
Aroma: citrus, piney
Flavor: Like the aroma plus caramel malt, lots of piney resinous hop.
Comments: Balanced malt and hop is not the goal here--lives up to its name. I tend to prefer a lot of rogue’s other ales as they do a great job with their malts.

Full body with a clean, bitter aftertatse. Awesome BRUTAL bitter. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 13, 2009 Bomber into a pint glass. Good pour with a thick and dense meringue-like head, complete with peaks. Big citrus hops mixed with sweet malts in flavor and aroma. BeerChaser0078 (284), Melbourne, Australia Sep 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fluffy white head which leaves lots of lace. Aroma is very hoppy and has hints of caramel, musk and citrus. Flavour is also hoppy with citrus and caramel as well as touches of spice and earthiness. Very smooth, almost creamy, mouthfeel. This is a great beer from Rogue, excellently balanced, shows off the hops in their best possible light. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Sep 7, 2009 On tap @ Coles, Buffalo NY. Golden Orange color with nice head. Nice strong bitter aroma, citrusy & caramel malts. Hop forward taste, sweet malts, well balanced. Damn good beer alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA Sep 6, 2009 Bottle; can’t believe I haven’t gotten around to trying this one. Poured a pretty pure orange color with a big fluffy, off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, biscuit and fruity, citrus hops. Flavors was really great for its style; deserves its lofty rating in my opinion. Citrus and spice/earthy, with a good balance of fruit and a good tasting caramel.
