| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. It pours a dark orange color with a creamy white head that shrunk to a quarter inch and never went down from there. Tons of lacing and good carbonation. Aroma is floral hops and caramel. Taste is slightly bitter, malty, caramel, and dried fruit. Creamy mouthfeel. This beer is super easy to drink and wasn’t nearly as bitter as suggested by the name. I really enjoyed it. Flavors are big on the citrus and other fruits such as apricot. Great lingering, bitter finish. Drinkability: A distinguished balance between fruity and bitter makes this ale truly enjoyable. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2009 (Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2009) Amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, toffee, orange and lots of fresh hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange, caramel, dried fruit and a generous citrussy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, balanced sweetness. Fresh hop character but the bitterness isn’t quite as brutal as expected (but then I had Moylans Hopsickle just before this one). Very nice beer though. rosenbergh (870), Helsinki, Finland

Hazy reddish brown colour with almost no head. Sweetish yeasty and hoppy aroma. Bitter hoppiness in flavour with some sweetness, grapefruit and hoppy bitter aftertaste. Very Rogue-like brew. triodes (7), California, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 2, 2009 An old staple in the Rogue family and well deserved. Easy to find. Reliable solid bitter, hoppiness just right for what it is. Not a pale ale, but a cousin. Tweety (343), Vancouver, Washington, USA
