Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vivid amber color with a large soapy yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet and fruity with a note of apricot. The flavor was fruity, tangy and bitter with an apricot element underneath. The finish was long and fruity. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

Lots of hops flavor, without the sharp/chlorine aroma too many hoppy ales have. This is an ESB to get used to, and it will serve as the barometer for ESBs until I find something better. Amber body with a white head. Malt and hops are abundant in the nose. The flavour is somewhat bready and moderately bitter, with a nice dry finish. ajm (917), Los Angeles, California, USA

The alcohol is not as prominent as with AleSmith Anvil; definitely a sweeter, smoother version of the best ESB you’ve ever had. For me, the best ESB I’ve ever had. Caramel, fruit, malt, booyah. jameswolfe (142), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

But it does have a wonderful hop aroma and a bitter finish. I need to try this one again. mabel (2590), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
