webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA Jun 2, 2007 Hoorah... the hoppiest ESB I’ve had. Medium head, pretty creamy, and very hoppy. Subtle bitter on the tongue, competing with the citrus/hop flavor. I’d get this again, but would like to get this from the tap as I feel the bottle concentrated some of the complexity that would be held if served from a larger volumed vessel. Definitely unfiltered, and pleasant mouthfeel. (Bottle Pour 5/30/2007) MoDog (909), Griffith, Indiana, USA Jun 1, 2007 22oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a murky golden/amber with a small beige head that quickly fades. Leaves some light lacing around the pint glass. Aromas of caramel and hops dominate. Flavor is very malty with a lasting bitter finish. Notes of caramel are still present behind the malt and hop flavors. The beer is medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Overall, this beer is quite drinkable. It is not as bitter as the name suggests. You don’t have to be a Hop Head to enjoy it. Give it a try. wapitij (2), USA does not count Jun 1, 2007 Nice creamy head. Cloudy. Wonderful hoppy aroma. Flavorful with a clean bitter finish that begs for you to drink more! One of the best! gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 1, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Solid brew. Not nearly as bitter as I was expecting, but I guess that’s a good thing. Rogue makes extremely drinkable beers, and this one is no exception. leeburg (146), Juneau, Alaska, USA May 31, 2007 650ml bottle, golden with white head.
