Even has things casually floating inside and they are suspended. The carbonation is fine and rolling, moving around the particulates. Good carbonation on the palate. Taste is bitter alright but less than I espected. Its not overwhelming. Medicinal bitter feeling develops as the session nears the end. Back and roof of mouth bitter finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 16, 2004 Deep amber that pours a big head of just off white. Grassy citrus hop aroma. Hop bitterness dominates the flavor and continues into the finish. At the finish is the only hint of any maltiness in this beer. Excellent ESB. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 8, 2008 I have had this one a number of times but kept thinking I had already rated it. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vivid amber color with a large soapy yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet and fruity with a note of apricot. The flavor was fruity, tangy and bitter with an apricot element underneath. The finish was long and fruity. Angeloregon (2036), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2007 On tap at Green Dragon Beer NW party--In pour light, appeared to be a deep amber-copper color. Well-sustained creamy head. Big hoppy sweet floral nose. Caramelly and malty with a prevalent citrusness. English malts made it somewhat reminiscent of TG IPA, but not as abbrasive. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 8, 2001 Nose is pure piney hop resin. Intriguing opaque dark gold color. Unfiltered, as most Rogues are. Some malt, but hoppiness is all this beer is about. I love bitter beer. Aftertaste is clean. I thought the carbonation helped this beer. charlotte (2036), Vanløse, Denmark

Flavour is caramel / toffee balanced with hops. Theres a definate american influence, but not a bad try at an english styled strong bitter. DaSilky1 (2029), San Diego, California, USA
