Strong bitter hop aroma... crystal obviously. Some sweet malt and spice as well. Sweet malt, slightly spicy and lots of bitter hops, but also fresh. Definitely some grapefruit. It easy to tell that the wheat malt really lightens up the syrupiness found in other ESB’s. Watery body with zero carbonation; has that Rogue juciness. Great English beer with an American twist. tomthompson89 (1489), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 13, 2008 12 oz bottle purchased at Spirits. Pours a solid orange with a large white frothy head. Citrussy hop aroma with an undertone of malts. Medium mouthfeel with lively carbonation but an overall smoothness is the dominant factor on this one. Flavor of malts, flowers and a slight bitter finish. Wow a beer from Rogue that I actually like, what next Al Sharpton saying something intelligent. Strykzone (1484), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2009 This beer pours a semi opaque orange brown with a one finger soapy white head that doesn’t last long. Nose is citrus fruit. Flavor is tart citrus hops with a nice bitterness. A bit of effervescence. A nice mix of subtle and bold. A nice bitter although this is not a favored style. Explosion of citrusy hops in the aroma and rich malt flavor. Just superb. yobdoog (1476), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

Big hop bite with citrus, grapefruit, grassy, very bitter taste. Love the charicature on the bottle, almost the same face my lager-drinkin budddy made when the hops kicked in. he he.
