Commercial Description:
Brutal combines Oregon hops with English Malts. The Oregon grown Crystal hop is a triploid variety developed from the German Hallertau aroma hop variety with contributions from Cascade, Brewers Gold, and Early Green. Crystal is the only hop used in brewing Brutal and it provides a massive amount of aroma without dry-hopping. The English malts used are floor malted Pipkin (a mellow cross of Maris Otter and Warboys, from an English company called Beeston), Cara Vienna and Cara Wheat.

Pours a hazy copper golden with a thick nicely lacing off-white head. Fresh hoppy aroma leads into a clean crisp malty body with a smooth bitter finish. Palate is chewy, semi-sweet and dry. A good bitter.

Murky, deep orange brew. Large, rocky, off-white head. Excellent lacework. The aroma is very floral with heavy evergreen notes. Wow! The flavor? Wow! Ouch! Ewww! Ohhh! HOPPY! :-) Brutal! Malty? Yes! So well-hopped, though. Heavily bitter! Medium-bodied with a bitter... umm... err... creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation with a bitter finish. Not really my style, but HopHeads... Stand Up and Shout!!

Dig the hazy appearance, nice glowing murky orange-gold. The nose is very hoppy, very fruity (lychees, grapefruit) and piney nose. The flavour is quite sweet at the start, very hoppy, with a citric bitter finish, as i've come to expect in Americaan bitters/IPA's/Pale ales, Out of the the Rogue beers i've had this is one of my favourites, really fresh and summery, had this sitting in my dads backyard in the sun.

Light hazy orange beer with a dense off white head. Malty, caramel sweet aroma with a hoppy pineapple fruityness. Hoppy and bitter flavor with a light fruityness and some vague caramel sweet notes. Dry bitter finish.

Stick your tongue out…They’ve just tapped a bitter grapefruit tree!…Mouth-watering and refreshing creamy oranges for a savage beast which reveals its splendor whether you like it or not…It does not know compromise…My kind of session beer...

On draught. Pours a golden amber. Starts out with a watery but potent hit of floral hops. Nice citrissy lingering taste. Goos as a session ale.
