Pours a light orange in color, a bit hazy and with a perfect white head. Aroma is very bitterish, sulfur, malty, slightly grassy, slightly rotten, little tart. Flavor is pretty reminisent of an American pale, moderately bitter(but not aciditic) mixed with malty sweetness. Finish is very balanced upfront and slighty dry on the tail end.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | May 1, 2003 Beautiful clear amber with a small white head that fades too quickly into white lace. Sweet malt, bitter citrus hops, and a long bitter finish. I've had IPAs that were less hoppy; true bitters have less body and less malt. This is a lovely beer. SaintMatty (1236), Tallinn, Estonia

Fresh grassy and hoppy aroma with grapefruit and tea. Very hoppy and bitter taste with grapefruit and lemon. Very hoppy but not overwhelmingly so. Good stuff. Ober (1232), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands

The aftertaste is bitter in a pleasant way with some notes of sweet.
