No, it’s not too awfully bitter as the name might imply, but it is delicious and well-rounded. Full and smooth with just a nice kick of crystal hop at the end. How did I not enjoy it this much the first time around? Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA

A nice persistant head on top. The aroma is the typical westcoast piney hop aroma. The flavors are quite a bit better. Much more malt than anticipated. Well done. A very nice session beer. A good dose of citrus in the aroma, fruity grapefruit, pear, pineapple and caramel flavors, medium to full bodied with a soft and creamy mouthfeel, finishes with a lingering bitterness. The aroma teases you like a reluctant stripper, giving you hints of what is to come and inviting you to give it a try. Smooth taste greets the mouth, soon the tastes of fruit leave you looking for Lifesavers in the bottom of the glass. Bitter, yes. Brutal? A better word is beautiful. This is a keeper. Not to be confused with English bitters, this is more of an IPA. Could use a little more malt but I like it just the way it is. argo0 (6998), Washington DC, USA

There was a grapefruit/lemon citrus taste secondary to the huge bitterness of the hops. This tasted like it has more hops than any IPA I’ve had. Finishes anything but smooth, but that’s ok. Only thing is that it left remnants of bitterness on my taste buds for a long time. Went really well with brie cheese and crackers.
