Apr 8, 2009 Very nice balance. Aroma is mostly hops with a bit of sweet malt. Flavor starts sweet with a bit of orange tang followed by a big bitter end. Very dry finish. Nicely done.

Dec 5, 2007 Updated: Jun 14, 2008Bottle from Binny’s (Orland Park, IL). 12 oz. bottle poured into a conical pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy amber. Nice medium head that manages to stick around minimally after pour. Smells of hops, caramel malts, and some fruit action. Taste is a nice balanced hoppy attack that fades into a smoothness that tastes rather malty. Finish is rather bitter and sharp, but enjoyable in my book. Nice memorable aftertaste that I enjoy. A beer I have enjoyed many times before, but never rated. A top tier ESB.

Mar 31, 2008 Poured from bottle with a fluffy white head. Smells of hops with some citrus scents. Flavor has strong hoppiness for a bitter. Finishes with a slightly tart or sour flavor.

Feb 9, 2009 a- pours a cloudy dark red/amber, with small, white, creamy head and fair lacing throughout
s- Wow, what a great blend of hops and pine scents, really impressive aroma that is not too overwhelming
t- Taste too is dominated by pine and citrus flavored hops, some sweet malts in the background as well, slight warming alcohol presence
m- full-bodied with light carbonation, smooth dry finish
d- Solid ESB that is not too high on the abv, i could definitely spend a night drinking this beer

Jun 3, 2008 This beer is really a hop-lovers beer. The aroma is overpowering with fresh, leafy hops and the flavor follows through, a spicy, resiny hop flavor and finish. Really a nice beer.

Mar 2, 2009 Pours a hazy, honey/orange with a small white head. Great sweet hop aroma with scents of honey, orange and other sweet citrus. The flavor is very fruity upfront with some light honey. The finish is bitter but very smooth with a great flowery hop flavor. Very well balanced beer with a lot of flavorful character and a great, smooth creamy mouthfeel.

May 12, 2009 Loads of toffee sweetness on the nose with a floral edge from the hops. Not as much as aroma from the hops as i expect but a very pleasant aroma all the same.
In the mouth it starts sweet, with almost honey richness from the malt then explodes with a bitter grenade into an awesome long bitter finish with floral notes. All up another very good beer from Rogue
