Nov 4, 2005 Slightly hazy medium-golden pour with a tall, rocky off-white head. Quite a lot of sediment, as well as some very persistent lacing. Aroma was strong with citrus and grassy hoppiness... and some underlying caramel malty sweetness (really what I’d hope for in a good ESB). The first things to hit the tastebuds were the Cascade hops... with their wonderful grapefruity goodness. Very good balance between the high-alpha and bittering hops, as well as the medium caramel backbone. Very pleasant grassy/piney bitter finish. Definitely enjoyed this one!

Nov 4, 2005 How to judge this beer. First off it tastes great. But then is it a bitter? Yes, it is bitter, but that gets overshadowed by the hop flavor and aroma. Okay so who cares about style, it’s delicious if you like IPA’s, which I do. Anyway, hops and more hops with a little carmel sweetness. Yum.

Jun 14, 2005 A nice unfiltered copper color with a good biege head. First thing noticed in aroma was hops followed by spicy citrus. The taste is spectacular hops then grapefruit followed by a mix of both. In all I would say this one of the best bitters Ive ever had. Highly recomended.

Oct 11, 2007 Aroma of nice piney and citrus hoppy beast. Bitter mild sweet. A little strong which I like and very hoppy taste. Balanced still and easy to drink.

Dec 22, 2008 Bottle from UtoBeer. Hazy amber colored with a creamy white head. Fresh and crisp. Lots of citrus hops mostly. Very hoppy with a very bitter finish.

Feb 3, 2008 Bomber. Lightly hazed orange amber with a thick off white head. Thich sheet of lace. Grapefruit and, to a lesser extent, orange nose. There is some caramel malt sweet behind it, but it’s the overwhelming citrus that is in your face. The malt makes a much stronger showing in the flavor which is, of course, "brutally" bitter, but more balanced than one would expect - the malt sweetness holds it’s own against the hop assault. Still, a bit of a one trick pony - it just happens to be a pretty damn good trick. Long bitter finish. Nice, and, as all Rogues not encased in ceramic, a good bargain.

May 28, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a hazy golden color with a copious white head. Strong, hoppy aroma. Taste is more malty, with notes of bread and some smooth caramel. Full, almost oily mouthfeel. Beautiful lacing and good balance. A little more hoppy than I expected, but an excellent beer nevertheless!
