Brilliant orange-amber color. Also a classy "Tang" orange flavor which does a good job at hiding the 6.2% alcohol; some pumpkin floating in there as well. Great hops/raisin aftertaste. I would say this tastes like Fischer Bitter, maybe not quite as intensely hoppy. RollinHard (763), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Poured a nice tan gold color with a fluffy head that died about 1/3rd through my glass, but left a small amount of lacing. The second glass from the bottle, however, was a hell of a lot cloudier. I guess that’s because a lot of the wheat malt settled down? Hmm....Anyway, the aroma has a slight fruit candy sweetness, but the floral hops are the main focus. The taste upfront starts with a bit of citrus and light malt flavor, but the real highlights are in the finish. That’s where the medium bready flavors begin, followed by roastiness, and then the lingering (but not IIPA-overpowering) hop bitterness. I like the way the tastes progress and that my second glass was very different from the first, but the flavors could have been slightly better IMO. Maybe even a bit more maltiness? Anyway, I enjoyed this beer, more complex than I was expecting. hayduke (1677), Eureka, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 21, 2007 22 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy orange with a huge white head that left lacing that looked like a lace tablecloth. Rich nose of citrus hops. Mouthfeel is very smooth and flavor is nicely bitter. Hopheads are going to love this one, others beware. Great and long bitter finish. illkarate (92), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

Extremely well-balanced brew, nice floral bitterness (but not overwhelming), pomelo, hints of honey, malt, good carbonation. Probably one of Rogue’s best offerings. gatorbeer (148), Ft. Pours a true amber, with a tall loose off-white head. Heavy hop aroma. Fairly bitter, with a good balance of malt as an offset. Fairly light body. boFNjackson (1322), Portland, Oregon, USA

Aroma of malt and bread. Palate is thick with carbonation, lots of hops and barley-grain flavors and some mild alcohol presence. Smooth and easy to drink. beermouth (435), Langeskov, Denmark
