Nov 22, 2009 Bottle grabbed in Portland. Pours a rather dark brown with a khaki head and sticky lacing. Aroma is rather sweet hops and a little malt. The flavour is more malt but the hops seem a little flat on the bitterness compared to the sweetness in the aroma. Long finish. I like the basic 100m Ale better

Nov 22, 2009 Pours with a mostly clear, dark crimson color with a full, beige, pillowy, frothy head which is mostly lasting and does leave sporadic, drippy lace. Nose is pleasant with lots of great floral notes, some tangerine citrus, little bits of spice, and hints of buttered breads and sweet caramel. Flavor is similar with floral being the most prominent note, distinct Amarillo tangerine hop notes, lightly spicy, drying with some breads and hints of caramel. Palate is okay with a nearly medium body, nearly lively carbonation, and a thin, refreshing, lightly drying mouthfeel. Finishes fairly long with bittersweet notes of dry twigs, tangerine, and light caramel. A very refreshing APA/IPA hybrid with assertive hops but lacking the intense bitterness (only a moderate bitterness). Very drinkable and refreshing with great floral notes and not the overbearing grapefruit and pine notes. More yeast in this one than most APA’s or IPA’s with so much bready notes but more of a moot point than anything. Good stuff from Rogue.

Nov 16, 2009 Meh, it’s okay. I had higher hopes for this.
Pours a murky mahogany with a decent head which leaves one of the nicer laces I’ve seen in a while. Aroma has a very strong bite to it -- citric, but almost acidic. Flavor is citric, but almost like there’s the dreaded bandaid taste, so brett? Or maybe I’ve had this one lying around for two long (although it’s been kept in the cool/dark). It’s not a drain-pour, but it’s far from impressive.

Nov 15, 2009 Poured copper. Nose is grapefruit, citrus, lemon rind, sweet malts, biscuit notes. Flavor is citrus and pine melded with hints of dark roast and cocoa all balanced with a dry malt finish.

Nov 14, 2009 Bottle from Liquor Depot (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of caramel, grapefruit, floral hops. Flavor os sweet and floral with similar notes of pine, grapefruit, lemon, citrus, caramel, light honey and spice. Medium body with a floral hop finish.

Nov 11, 2009 Bottle. Hazy brown pour with minimal carbonation and a standard grapefruit/dry hop aroma. Flavor is also bitter grapefruit, piney hops, and a little peppery on the finish. Very good, solid IPA.
