Hazy deep copper body with a light colored khaki head. The nose has lots of oranges with some notes of light bread crust. There is also a little bit of fresh floral goodness. The taste has some bitter grapefruit up front that is tempered with some notes of burnt up bread crust. There is also an earthy, nearly coffee finish. It could be pleasing to those that want a real west coast hop bomb. I would like a little more sweet to balance the package.

Really great and special. Had a glass at Rattle n Hum in NYC. Pours a rich amber brown with a medium head. Nose of sweet malts and mild hops. Flavor is a nice balance of heavy bitterness from the hops and slight sweet maltiness. Finish has mild bite and aftertaste is nice. Would have again.

Cloudy dark rust hue with creamy tan head, nice lacing, smells malty and burnt sweetness, more malty and carmel than hoppy, not quite an IPA, seems more like a brown ale, if truly an IPA then it is different, an odd bitterness in the finish, medium body, love the concept and the packaging, not bad but not rusing out to find more. 45 minutes later...Better as it warmed up.

I risked getting Rogues and picked up a bomber of Northwestern Ale at the Binny’s in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. It poured a hazy brownish amber body with a tall rocky ecru head and had lace clumping on the sides of the glass. Nice aroma, pine, earth, and citrus rind over a caramelly malt sweetness. The flavor reflected the aroma, but the hops never seemed to provide a serious bite. It seemed (in the taste) to be more of an aggressive APA than an IPA. Still, quite sessionable.

Pours a cloudy dark amber to red colour, somewhat opaque. Citrus and pine in the nose, no malt apparent, maybe sampling a bit cold..Whaps you with big hops and a piney finish, this is a hop-head beer. Medium bodied, huge hops. Tastes like a mouthful of chinooks.. Big hop beer low in malt taste. Recommended to cleanse the palate after a Bud. Never had a Rogue I didn’t like!

bomber. Amber in color with a moderate sized off white head, a bit murky. Aroma of citrus and floral hops mostly, with some caramel in the background. Taste: Citrus and floral hops, a touch soapy with a light to medium crystal malt and backbone. Bitterness lingers for awhile, lightly astringent. Wasn’t crazy about this.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber that allows no light to pass with a moderate tan head that lasted until mid-glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of caramel, grapefruit and orange, more tilted towards the citrus than the caramel. The flavor begins with a very weak malt backbone followed by some harshly bitter hops that are lacking in flavor. Somewhat dry, bitter finish. Not all that enthused about this one.
