Commercial Description:
Originally a tweak of Eugene City Tracktown 100 Meter Ale, reformulated for release as Captain Sig’s Deadliest Ale

Style: India Red Ale. Dedicated to the Hansen brothers - Sig, Edgar, and Norman - the Rogues of the Bering Sea. Portions of proceeds of Deadliest Ale will support the Fishermans Fund. Deep red in color, this ale starts off with a floral, slightly citrus hop nose, hop flavor soon fades into the malty backbone of this red ale. 9 Ingredients: Malts: 2 Row Pale, Munich, Carastan and Chocolate. Hops: Amarillo and Cascade. Yeast & Water: Rogue Pacman Yeast & Free Range Coastal Water. Specs: 14.5 PLATO 80 IBU 75 AA 20 Lovibond

Pours a deep red with light tan head. Decent aroma of piney hops. Good malt sweetness and another hop finish.

Bottle. Pours murky amber, with a smooth, foamy head. Aroma of citrus, roasted malts, and a subtle hint of vanilla. Firm body, with a crisp, slightly bitter finish. Very nice signature ale.

Cloudy amber with fluffy off white head. Extremely bitter but in a good way. Citrus notes with noticeble sediment at the bottom. Seems stronger than the 6.2%

Appearance: Pours a dark amber color with a huge foamy tan head. The head sticks around for quite some time and leaves lots of lacing all over my glass. Smell: Floral and pine hops with caramel malts. Has a good smell but nothing too amazing. Taste: Has a very consistent bitter pine hop taste all the way through. Some mild toasted malts in there as well. Mouthfeel/drinkability: Light to medium bodied and very dry.

Brought from the depths of the Bering Sea this ale was a light amber color and amble head. A unique taste arose that may have originated from the chocolate malts which when washed ashore with some fine cascade hops was terrific.

Draught at Rogue Ales Public House, Portland. Big citrus, grassy hop aroma. Medium brown with orange tints. Decent caramel malt flavor, with strong hop bitterness and ok aroma. Has a very long, bitter finish. Decent, but mostly just bitter.

Pours cloudy grapefruit colour with lots of head. Taste is grapefruit and very hopped up and drying. Above average mouthfeel. Drinkable, but not super drinkable.

Bottle. Pours hazy red with a small white head.Aroma of lots of hops, taste don’t disappoint, lots of hops presence here, but the malts are also most welcome.Nice.
