Hazy deep copper body with a light colored khaki head. The nose has lots of oranges with some notes of light bread crust. There is also a little bit of fresh floral goodness. The taste has some bitter grapefruit up front that is tempered with some notes of burnt up bread crust. There is also an earthy, nearly coffee finish. It could be pleasing to those that want a real west coast hop bomb. I would like a little more sweet to balance the package.

The Dan Journal #314. Tasted 11/4/09. 22oz bomber. Hazy with a brown amber hue. Brainy tan head. Aromas of Melons and spices. Estery. Decent burn in the nose. Medium to full bodied with a big palate. Good malt bill. Huge effervescence and a tingling palate. Very bitter with big grapefruit flavors in the hops. Bright and good. Definitely a re-buy!

Typical Rogue, I suppose. Not that that is a bad thing, it’s just simple, fairly well made, no surprises. Piney, caramelly nose, and the flavor cashes the check the aroma writes. Tasty and easy to drink.

bottle - Pours murky amber with an off-white head. It smells of caramel malt and citrus hops. The flavor is similar with very caramel rich malt and tons of hops that throws in some citrus character. It’s pretty intense for a single IPA and has more body than is usual. Nice brew.

bomber - dark amber with slight haze and faomy white head; mix of malty sugars, hops and candy malt; lots of body to this one and slightly bitter in the finish; i really like the texture here, but flavor is just so-so; kind feels like a light ASA to me

22 oz bottle. Pours a muddy amber/brown with an off white 1/2" head. Spotty lace. Aroma is citrus with caramel. Moderate in body with a smooth easy drinking palate. Flavor is citrus hops backed by a nice caramel malt. Not to complex, but nice none the less.

Pours a muddy ruby brown with a thin off-white head. The aroma is evident as soon as I popped the cap. Oranges, carmel and a hint of cranberry on the nose. Medium body with sweet toffee, light tobacco, citrus with a very long spicy, peppery finish. This doesn’t suck!!

65 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA. Hazy toffee colour, tightly carbonated head. Citrus and pine aroma. Mellow first sip that builds in hop character, from sweet syrup to bitter pepper 10 seconds later.
