Pours a nice, slightly hazy amber with a thick foamy off white head.
Aroma was hoppy with a tinge of pepper As much cayenne smelling as chipotle at first then some smokiness coming through as well.
Flavour starts malty, slightly sweet smokey finish overtakes what hop there is.
Flavours in the finish don’t completely mesh for me. travita (1952), Frisco, Texas, USA

Flavor was more fruity than anything to me. Sweet malt and a slight apple flavor folowed by some subtle smoke. There were some slightly sitter hops toward the finish that perhaps combined with the little spice to make for an interesting finish. As it warmedd I could detect a slight heat at the tip of the tongue, but nowhere near the level I had expected/hoped for. This is a very drinkable ale, quite tasty in fact, I just didnt really get all that much chipotle out of it. bhops (334), Dallas, Texas, USA

A good effort, but I’m not much of a chili fan anyways so not the beer for me. jcweaver (65), VA Beach, Virginia, USA

The taste was surprisingly complex, malts, some hoppiness but mainly a nice smokiness with a little heat after swallowing. This beer is good with spicier fare and finishes well. alexsdad06 (1098), Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. The aroma leans more toward smokey than anything, but pepper is present. The flavor surprised me a bit as I found a moderately sweet malt base and fruits to accompany the smokey spiciness of this brew. Interesting, but not my thing. Medium bodied. luna13084 (4), Burlington, Vermont, USA does not count | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Mar 25, 2008 Pours a coppery amber with a nice head that dissipates quickly. Smells malty with a hint of smokiness. I’m so glad someone said Band-aides because thats what any product with chipotle tastes like to me at first! Anywho... mouth feel is pretty watery but leaves a slight tingle and the flavor is band-aides first THEN a spicy smoky chipotle flavor. Not a bad beer but nothing special. Worth trying once but I doubt I’ll have it again. jrmac (213), USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 23, 2008 Good for what it is. It tastes like that Tobasco Chipotle sauce mixed with beer. I don’t see myself buying this again, but I will say as far as hot pepper flavored ale goes its not bad.
