The smell of the roasted jalapenos is apparant, probably the most interesting aspect of this creation. The chipotle after-taste is a bit much... I don’t know how many of these I could handle. Overall: A for effort! Muy Interesante! This rating has since been edited b/c I am having doubts about finishing this 23oz... ***Re-edit: Diminishing returns with every sip- and this from a guy who can pair chocolate milk with chinese food graham515 (430), Houston, Texas, USA

Aroma is malt and peppers. I mean you can really smell it. Taste is malty with an aftertaste of peppers. Really really can taste those peppers. Not my cup o tea, but an interesting beer.
* Pretty sure this beer can be faulted with some indigestion I experienced after consuming... uhre (339), Denmark

Pours a bright orangish-amber color; off-white head with web-like lacing. Lots of caramel in the aroma (almost like oxidation), with a pleasant smoky / spicy note and some dried fruit. Medium-to-full, creamy mouthfeel: mild carbonation; the malt core is mostly caramel and dried red fruits without much depth, but the spiciness and smoky character of the chipotles is quite pleasant, surprisingly; the peppers appear as just a soft hotness with a mild smoky flavor; nothing over the top, and well-integrated into the malt core. Nice, pleasant warmth. Medium, doughy and smoky finish, with just a touch of lingering hotness. darn1207 (572), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Have to be in the right mood for it, but definitely interesting. BudWeiser (10), West Linn, Oregon, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Cheers to Mes and Sim for sharing, well kind of, lol. Not quite sure if I should thank them for sharing, or they should thank me for leaving them less, but since Sim went through the trouble of importing it I’d better mind my manners...Pours amber with a thin white head. Slightly sweet aroma of malt, caramel, hops and a subtle spicy smoke. Watery malt and hop flavour with only a faint hint of smoked chili in the finish. Thin on the palate and not very exciting at all. Interesting in it’s own rite but not much more than pure novelty.
