Bottle @ home. Almost black and opague. Milk chocolate and cacao in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with blackberries and lots of chocolate. Tasty, but an easy drinker with a roastbitter aftertaste. Nice one!

Big bottle shared with Elisabeth at Henrik Øl og Vinstove. Light brownish head over a dark brown body. Prominent smell of cocoa. Taste of citrus fruits covered by vanilla chocolate. Noticeable hop bitterness to the ending. Easy to drink and likeable (Bergen, 18.06.2009).

Sweet Japanese version? This ezo stuff confuses me... Dissipating fizzy tan head, dark brown body. Nose of vanilla, oreo, and hints of dark rum. Light chocolate, sweet oats and vinous hops are the dominant tastes. Palate is a bit light and plkayful for the style. Quite good.

Bottle@Olympen, Oslo. Big tan head. Dark brown to near black body. Powdery cocoa, milk-chocolate and roasted dark malts on the nose. Taste is bitter-sweet and entirely dominated by chocolate. Some roastedness and faint vanilla tones is noticeable. Smooth in the mouth. Medium body strenght. Light bitter choco finish.

Nice dark brown, close to black look with a big creamy brown head, looks way more inviting than the awfull bottle. Aroma is sweet and slightly roasted of chocolate, milk chocolate and pure cocoa powder. Flavour is very chocolate based, sweet but with a balaced somewhat dry, bitter and roasted finish. Medium full body, fairly smooth exept for some a bit too sticky carbonation. Adds to the drinkability tough wich the beer really needs.

Pours very dark brown with a creamy frothy persistant dark tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and some vanilla. Tastes rich and creamy with chocolate. Some hints of vanilla, slightly roasted coffee, and a tiny hop spice. Excellent brew.

Bomber. Dark brown color, medium tan head with good staying power. Chocolate and latte nose. The flavor has some coffee notes but is mostly bitter chocolate. Not silky smooth, and a little long in the finish, but a really nice chocolate stout all the same. I’d consider getting it again, but there are better options of similar styles for this price.

deep brown, small cappuccino head, leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is nearly all chocolate. Nice mouthfeel. Tastes of dark chocolate and a hint of spice, and is balanced with a bitter finish. My only complaint is that the bitterness lingers a bit too long
