Commercial Description:
Ebony in color with a rich creamy head. The mellow flavor of oats, chocolate malts, and real chocolate are balanced perfectly with the right amount of hops for a bittersweet finish. Chocolate Stout is brewed with 10 ingredients: Northwest Harrington and Klages, Crystal 135-165 and Beeston Chocolate Malts, Cascade Hops, Rolled Oats and Roasted Barley, Natural Chocolate Flavor, Free Range Coastal Waters and PacMan Yeast.

Bottle from Bevmo... Pours black with light brown head.. Smell is chocolate and kinda woody.. Taste was pretty bitter with some chocolate and woody notes... There was a huge amount of carbonation and it wasn’t sweet at all so I’m wondering if I got a "bad" bottle.. Also there was a bunch of gunk under the bottle cap, not sure if thats how this beer usually is.

Pours a dark brown, nice tan head head. Aroma is of hops and malt Bitter sweet taste of hops and chocolate.

Bottle. Pours with a huge, dark brown, creamy head and a near black body. Good lace. Aroma is sweet with chocolate, chocolate truffle, cocoa powder, oats, and nearly a berry liquor thing going on. Taste is cocoa, roast, smokey, leather, soil and chocolate. Creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation.

Very dark with an off white head. Aroma is roasty with dark chocolate and a touch of coffee and cream. Taste is similar and pretty good. Overall it is nice and drinkable with simple sweet chocolate flavors and a touch of roasty malts.

22oz bottle. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is of caramel, chocolate, grain, syrup, malt, and dark fruit. Taste obviously has lots of chocolate. Lots of dark fruit especially rasins, with caramel, grainy malt, syrup, and some wood. Lingering chocolate and caramel taste. Mouthfeel is very sticky, but drinks easy with the carbonation. Finish is all bitter chocolate. Avery tasty beer, without being a chocolate mess.

Bottle shared with Steve. Amazing choc stout. Dark almost black pour. Sweet choc coffee nose. Flavors of choc syrup and hints of espresso. Finish of a little bit of malt.

pours black with medium tan head. aroma is bittersweet chocolate, coffee, and rich malt. drinks bitter chocolate and coffee up front, and finishes with sweet malts and chocolate. long lingering chocolate/coffee after taste.
