[1259-20080405] 1pt6floz bottle. Sweet super chocolatey syrup roasted malt aroma with hints of alcohol. Dark dark brown black body with a medium-lasting foamy brown head. Roasted mocha flavour has a sweet chocolate syrup finish. Full body is bitter. Wow, so much chocolate and coffee, lovely.

My favorite beer from Ellensburg’s Winterhop Brewfest. Poured very dark with a strong scent of chocolate. The beer felt rather thick but the finish was smooth.

Our batch must have been pretty bad. Poured deep brown with a very dark head. Quite dry, this doesn’t seem to be a sweet stout. I didn’t get the chocolate and I didn’t find it smooth. Finished bad. Hmm....

One of my favorite stouts. The chocolate flavor is very prominent, perhaps a little too much so. The bitter smokiness is delightful and it goes down mild. The coffee flavor is well represented. It is almost like a porter, but not quite. It’s a beautiful beer with a thin, tan head. It’s particularities are very prominent, so it is a very particular sort of stout. I liked it a lot.

Bomber. Pours a motor oil black with 2 finger bubbly tan head and incredible lacing. Nose is coffee, cocoa and baker’s chocolate. Taste is coffee, burnt malt and bitter dark chocolate with some hop bite finish. Way more hops and not as chocolaty as I expected, which isn’t a bad thing. Light to medium mouth feel. Good brew.

Pour was dark with a frothy tan head. Aroma was very sweet chocolate and burnt malt. Flavors was a bit more bitter than sweet with cocoa and notes of caramel and slight hop bitterness towards the finish. Small notes of banana. Good brew. Smooth. Would buy again.
