Black pour with light brown, rocky head mostly diminishing. Fair lacing. Chocolate and milk aroma, tasting also reveals cocoa beans. Moderate to heavy acidity gives way to sour and long finish. Lively carbonation. Satisfying.

~ Purchased this 22 oz bomber from Frank’s Beverage in Glen Cove, NY. Pours black with a big creamy light brown head. Wow! If you like chocolate (and who doesn’t?), this is the beer. The smell is nothing short of amazing. Hints of Rich Belgian chocolate appear almost immediately. This doesn’t taste like a beer, this taste like something out of a Hershey’s syrup bottle. A slight bitter aftertaste makes its appearance at the end, but who really cares about the hops - my mind is still set on the chocolatey goodness. For the style, and everything this Rogue presentation has to offer, I’m glad to see all the positive praise from other members. This beer definitely deserves it. Two words: Simply delicious. ~

Bomber. Dark as night in color with a creamy, rich head. Light chocolate note in aroma. Sharp bitter on the palate at first. Gives way to a light chocolate after flavor.

( 22oz bomber) pours dark choc brown and great lasting bubbles. Nose of chocolate cake, alc, sweet biscuit, absolutely delicious. Taste us very unsweetened chocolate and caramel. Light bitter hop presence, and lingers the same way. If this beer tasted like it smelled it would be phenomenal.

Good but not great. Lots of dark chocolate on the nose and in the mouth. A slight bitterness on the tail. Thin bodied for 6.3%. Could use a bit of fattening up. Othewise good solid drinking. On tap at the Wheatsheaf in Adelaide.
